Streszczenie: Artykuł porusza problematykę wykorzystania nowoczesnych technologii informacyjno- komunikacyjnych (ICT) w opiece nad seniorami. Ostatnie dekady naznaczone są problemem starzejącego się społeczeństwa, którego konsekwencją jest wzrost zapotrzebowania na usługi opiekuńcze. Z jednej strony to rodzina ma zapewnić opiekę rodzicom chorym i niepełnosprawnym, z drugiej strony sytuacja na rynku pracy obliguje do dłuższej aktywności zawodowej. Ma to bardzo poważne konsekwencje dla systemu opieki zarówno formalnej, jak i nieformalnej w Polsce. Jednym z rozwiązań, które wspierają system opieki nieformalnej w Polsce, jest teleopieka, która ma coraz szersze zastosowanie.

Abstract: This article deals with the issue of the use of modern information and communication technologies (ICT) in the care of seniors. Recent decades have been marked by the problem of an aging society, the consequence of which is an increase in the demand for care services. On the one hand, it is the family that is to provide care for its sick and disabled members. On the other hand, the situation on the labor market obliges them to work longer. This has very serious consequences for the system of both formal and informal care in Poland. One of the solutions supporting the informal care system in Poland is telecare.
