Seigniorial activity centers as an answer to the social exclusion of the elderly in the area of social security

Streszczenie: Artykuł przedstawia zagadnienie bezpieczeństwa społecznego w kontekście polityki senioralnej w obszarze gminy i partnerstwa wielosektorowego. W materiale podjęto wyzwanie zdiagnozowania potrzeb, zdefiniowania i przedstawienia celów, funkcji, zadań, jakie stoją przed Centrami Aktywności Seniorów (dalej: CAS). Ponadto przedstawiono możliwości współpracy i wykorzystania zasobów osobowo-rzeczowo-finansowych w realizacji programów i projektów wspierających osoby starsze w ich holistycznym rozwoju. Wskazano również na niektóre przykłady funkcjonowania Centrów w różnych adaptacjach wynikających z określonych możliwości i aktywności środowiska lokalnego.

Abstract: The article presents the issue of social security in the context of seignior policy in the area of a commune and multi-sector partnership. It takes up the challenge of diagnosing the needs, defining and presenting the goals, functions and tasks of the Seigniorial Services Centers. Moreover, the possibilities of cooperation and the use of personal, material and financial resources in the implementation of programs and projects supporting the elderly in their holistic development are presented in the paper. The influence of the local environment on the functioning of some Centers has also been analysed.
