Streszczenie: Artykuł opisuje wybrane zagadnienia z dziedziny psychologii edukacji: motywację, samoregulację oraz orientację na cel. Ukazuje uznane w środowisku naukowym podejścia i teorie opisujące powyższe zagadnienia: SDT – teorie autodeterminacji, SRL – teorie samoregulacji w uczeniu się oraz teorie orientacji na cel. W pracy omówione zostało postrzeganie motywacji w nurtach: psychodynamicznym, behawioralnym, humanistycznym i poznawczym. Autorzy pracy przedstawiają również wybrane eksperymenty badające wpływ lokowania motywacji na zainteresowanie podejmowanymi aktywnościami oraz obarczanie innych winą za własne niepowodzenia.

Abstract: The article describes selected issues from the field of educational psychology: motivation, self-regulation and goal orientation. It presents the approaches and theories
recognized in the scientific community that describe SDT – theories of self-determination, SRL – theories of self-regulation in learning and theories of goal-orientation. The paper discusses the perception of motivation in the following trends: psychodynamic, behavioral, humanistic and cognitive. The authors also present selected experiments examining the effects of locating motivation on the interest in undertaken activities and blaming others for one‘s own failures.
