Technologies improving the access to digital materials in mathematics for the visually impaired

Abstract: The article presents innovative assistive technologies to create and share educational materials in mathematics, to be used by the visually impaired students. The presented solutions are the results from research conducted at the Institute of Mathematical Machines in the years 2014–2015. The article presents also open standards EPUB3 as well as HTML5, MathML, SVG, on which the solutions were based.
