Education and lifelong learning – elements of diagnosis

Abstract: The aim of this study is a functional approach to the subject and an objective presentation of the essence and directions of lifelong learning and the diversity of its definition. The article deals with lifelong learning and in Poland, the scope and organizational framework in relation to the needs of the labor market and vocational education. Elements of the diagnosis and outline of the description of the functioning of the continuing education system in Poland will be presented.
