Modern understanding of the concept work in the opinion of students

Abstract: Globalisation and the global financial crisis have resulted in grave processes in the labour market, to mention unemployment resulting in the global expansion of precariat, i.e. the group of people who are unemployed or employed based on fixed term contracts. This situation results in precarity. Living an unpredictable life changes the viewpoint on many questions and notions, including work and employment. Research conducted among final year students of a private higher education institution in Warsaw has provided knowledge on respondents’ perception of these concepts.
